Glue, fabric, lace, string, cut and torn paper, these are some of my tried and true partners in the studio. I start by building a surface of shapes and forms using a variety of materials and then articulate the surface with color and additional form. There's tedium, getting it wrong and then slowly working my way towards a conclusion. My practice is about discovery which means that I sometimes I like what I've found and sometimes I don't and have to keep hacking through the path towards the image - or so I hope. My works live mostly in my house and studio and in the homes of my family and friends. I'm looking for ways to liberate my paintings and here's where you come in - yes, you can help! If you like any of my work, get in touch with me and I’ll be happy to make owning a piece of Carrie Blanche a possibility. I'm open to trades and, of course, sales. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the form on the Contact page. Thanks for visiting and come back again soon!
