Sorry to all my fans for the rather long delay in posting a new blog entry. I've been working hard in both the painting and the ceramic studio and enjoying the conversation inside my head about texture, surface, shape and image that working in the two mediums stimulates. Thus far, it seems that some of my ceramic pieces are more painterly and some of my paintings are more sculptural - if that makes any sense. What matter? It's good to push and pull and see what, if anything, comes of it.

I recently lowered the price on all of my work listed on this website with the hopes that a few things would sell and I'd lighten the load a bit. I'm also searching around for other ways to unload artwork. One idea I've had is to drop off paintings or sculptures on the doorsteps of people I don't know with a note attached -- something like, "here's some art; I hope you like it and can find a spot for it in your home, signed, anonymous artist". It seems a bit crazy and really sane at the same time. Dunno.
